Insecure is now on Netflix, so if you never tuned in when the excellent Issa Rae comedy was airing on HBO, it’s the perfect time to catch up. The series, which evolved from Rae’s web series Awkward Black Girl, was created by the comedy dream team of Rae and Larry Wilmore, and boasts an ensemble cast featuring Yvonne Orji, Natasha Rothwell, Amanda Seales and Jay Ellis. Insecure established itself as a must-see dramedy over the five seasons it aired, cleverly balancing laugh-out-loud moments with cringe and heartbreak.
