IndieWire Pass the Remote Screening: Ocean with David Attenborough

IndieWire and Disney’s Pass the Remote screening series is back, and next week Los Angeles will have a chance to celebrate one of the most exciting nature documentaries of the season with an evening of storytelling, community, and conversation.

On Tuesday, May 5, a special Pass the Remote screening of National Graphic’s Emmy-contending documentary “Ocean with David Attenborough” will take place at Vidiots Foundation in Eagle Rock. Following the film, director Keith Scholey will join IndieWire Awards Editor Marcus Jones for a discussion.

TV Academy members and guild members are invited to attend the event, which will be followed by a reception with beer and wine after the Q&A. Anyone interested in attending can register here. Space is limited, and admission is not guaranteed.

“Ocean with David Attenborough” sees the legendary British broadcaster and nature lover narrate an exploration of the world’s oceans, the vital role that they play in our ecosystems, and the threats they currently face. The film was accompanied by the companion book “Ocean: Earth’s Last Wilderness,” which was co-written by Attenborough and Colin Butfield, who co-directed the film along with Scholey and Toby Nowlan.

“Ocean with David Attenborough” is currently available to stream on National Geographic, Disney+, and Hulu. Stay tuned for more updates on future Pass the Remote events.
