Jennifer Lopez makes it rain in Hustlers, Lorene Scafaria’s glittery and gritty 2019 drama based on the excellent New York Magazine feature from Jessica Pressler. Lopez stars as Ramona Vega, an established stripper who takes Destiny (Constance Wu) under her wing and soon recruits her to join in on some not-so-legal activities to help keep the cash flowing amidst the 2008 financial crisis. Ramona, Destiny and their friends live the high life by robbing their rich clients, but the glamorous perks of fleecing Wall Street bankers only last so long. With cameos from Lizzo and Cardi B, some jaw-dropping dance sequences from Lopez and some juicy one-liners, Hustlers is a wild drama that proves J.Lo’s star power.
