“Schitt’s Creek” will be removed from Netflix US in October 2022.
The beloved TV sitcom created by Dan Levy and his father, Eugene Levy, will be moving over to Hulu on October 3rd.
Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to binge-watch all six seasons.
Earlier this year, Hulu sent out a press release stating that they had acquired the US streaming rights to the show. The Emmy award-winning TV show will be joining several other hit comedies on Hulu, including Hulu Originals “Only Murders in the Building,” “Life and Beth,” ABC’s “Abbott Elementary,” and FX’s “Dave”.
“Schitt’s Creek” is about a wealthy family that ends up broke, and they are forced to move to a small town that they had once purchased as a joke. The Rose family— video store magnate Johnny (Eugene Levy), former soap-star Moira (Catherine O’Hara), “black sheep” of the family David (Dan Levy), and career socialite Alexis (Annie Murphy)— must live out of a motel, and they struggle to adjust to a less lavish lifestyle while they find jobs and start relationships.
Here is the announcement from Hulu, creatively written as a press release from Alexis’ character.
