For the first time ever, Wolverine will wear his comics-accurate costume in Deadpool 3. The iconic yellow and blue suit will finally be worn on the big screen, when Hugh Jackman dons the outfit for his return as Wolverine.
In a new still released by Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds and Jackman himself on their Instagram accounts, Deadpool and Wolverine are shown walking together down a dusty road.

Wolverine’s Classic Look
For fans of Wolverine, seeming the character once again played by Hugh Jackman was enough to get excited. The fact that Jackman will be wearing the mutant’s iconic yellow battle suit makes it that much cooler.

As someone who grew up with not only the X-men comics but also the animated series, it is almost surreal to see Jackman in Wolverine’s original suit. This is the version of Wolverine that I remember, and also one that stays true to the character’s X-men origins.
What We Know About ‘Deadpool 3’
Although Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine met his end in 2017’s Logan, the actor is returning to play a version of the character set earlier in the timeline. So, fans need not worry that Jackman’s poignant sendoff of his character has been undone.

Deadpool 3 is currently in production and may be looking to surprise fans in unexpected ways. In addition to Jackman and Reynolds, the film will star Jennifer Garner reprising her role as Elektra. Rumors have also been swirling about a possible return of Ben Afflack’s Daredevil or Halle Berry’s Storm.
