This post is to honor Josh Radnor’s birthday today, but in reality, it spotlights Neil Patrick Harris’ stellar performance in the iconic 100th episode of their sitcom How I Met Your Mother. The 12th episode of the series’ fifth season, “Girls Versus Suits,” highlights the show’s surprisingly superb musical element. Robin Scherbatsky’s (Cobie Smulders) teenage superstar alter ego Robin Sparkles helped define the show’s soundtrack with her hit “Let’s Go to the Mall.” However, this episode features the gang “suiting up” and coming together in “Nothing Suits Me Like a Suit,” where Harris’ Barney is left to choose between a girl or his beloved suits.The number was choreographed by Glee choreographer Zach Woodlee and even earned the series’ showrunners an Emmy nomination in 2010.
