It’s that time again for a new week of incoming streaming titles as we slowly head through the downward slope of April. All your favorite streamers have some new content arriving, though mid-month is not the most exciting time to premiere their best work. However, there’s plenty to keep you interested.
Netflix has been digging deep into its Asian content, and this week we get a “funny and thought-provoking social comedy” called He’s Expecting. It’s based on a Manga title and is placed in an era where males can give birth. As you might imagine from the title, the storyline follows a successful businessman who finds out he’s expecting with an unplanned pregnancy.
Netflix is also premiering the second season of Russian Doll, Selling Sunset Season 5, plus a new documentary on the rise & fall of popular 2000’s clothing brand Abercrombie & Fitch.
Hulu‘s offering is a little sparse this week, but boy does it look good. Captive Audience will turn you into just that, with the true crime doc of 7-year-old Steven Stayner, who disappeared in 1972, only to return home safely 7 years later. However, that’s just where the story begins as his brother becomes the villain in an unthinkable turn of events.
And Prime Video is dropping season 2 of A Very British Scandal which focuses on the divorce of the Duke and Duchess of Argyll, one of the most notorious, extraordinary and brutal legal cases of the 20th Century.
