Grant Gustin Finishes Final Work On The Flash Season 9 In New Video

As The Flash season 9 gets closer to its end, Barry Allen himself, Grant Gustin, confirms in a new video that he has finished his final bit of work on the Arrowverse drama. The CW is getting ready to wrap up its longest-running Arrowverse show in just a few weeks. After starring as the fastest man alive for a decade, Gustin is finishing his journey on The Flash with season 9. The show is returning from its final hiatus and will run uninterrupted until May 24, which is when The Flash series finale will air.

Gustin hung up his suit for The Flash in March when they wrapped production on the final episode of the series. However, post-production work is still taking place, as Gustin shared on Instagram that he has finished his final ADR sessions as the Scarlet Speedster.

ADR, which stands for automated dialogue replacement, is usually something that takes place after an episode or a movie has finished filming. Gustin is likely not the only The Flash cast member who is finishing up ADR, but so far, he is the only one who has posted that he’s completed his work on the series.

Everything We Know About The Flash Season 9’s Final 5 Episodes

With a handful of episodes left in The Flash season 9, The CW has revealed a lot of details for the final installments. This week’s episode, “It’s My Party, and I’ll Die If I Want To,” will see Gustin reunited with several Arrowverse stars. Arrow’s Stephen Amell and David Ramsey are returning one last time as Green Arrow and John Diggle respectively, with the former making his first appearance since 2020. The Flash’s Keyinan Lonsdale is also suiting up one final time as Kid Flash while Sendhil Ramamurthy reprises the role of Bloodwork.

The following four episodes, which are reportedly going to be a four-parter titled “A New World,” will center on several returning speedster foes. Rick Cosnett, who played Eddie Thawne in The Flash season 1, is returning for the final season, but this time as one of the last big bads of the series. While The CW hasn’t confirmed his character name, Cosnett was spotted wearing a Cobalt Blue-looking costume, as the DC foe has been highly demanded by fans for years. But he won’t be alone as Reverse-Flash, Zoom, Savitar, and Godspeed are all taking part in the final battle as well.

The Flash season 9 will be bittersweet for the Arrowverse as a whole since this is the last Earth-Prime-based show in the franchise. However, with everything they have lined up for the final episodes, it does appear that The Flash’s final season will go out with a bang. Hopefully, The Flash season 9 will live up to expectations as the show wraps up for good.
