Gisele Bündchen Would Still Divorce Tom Brady if She Was Offered a Do-Over

October will officially mark the one-year anniversary of Gisele Bündchen’s divorce from Tom Brady—and the 43-year-old model has no regrets about ending their 13-year marriage.

Don’t take my word for it: Bündchen said so herself in a candid new interview with CBS News Sunday Morning, which aired on September 24. “I look into my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I wouldn’t have any other life,” she told interviewer Lee Cowan, adding that if she was offered to change something about her journey, she “wouldn’t change absolutely anything.”

When asked if that includes her divorce from the 46-year-old former NFL player, Bündchen replied, “I mean, it’s not what I dreamed of and what I hoped for. My parents have been married for 50 years, and I really wanted that to happen but I think you have to accept, you know, sometimes that the way you are in your 20s, it’s sometimes you grow together, sometimes you grow apart.”

She continued, “He’s the father of my kids. So I always wish him the best, and I’m so grateful that he gave me wonderful children and I think when a door shuts, other doors open.”

Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady announced their divorce in October 2022 and have since been co-parenting their 13-year-old son, Benjamin, and 10-year-old daughter, Vivian (Brady also shares a 16-year-old son, Jack, with ex Bridget Moynahan). However, one month prior to calling it quits, Bündchen publicly expressed her desire for Brady to be “more present” in their children’s lives during a candid interview with Elle Magazine.

While Bündchen said she felt “fulfilled” as a “mother and as a wife” in the September 2022 interview, she also said it was her “turn” to pursue greater career opportunities. “I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Tom],” she said at the time. “I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams.”
