Gigi Hadid looked stylish as she stepped out in New York City Tuesday, making sure to stay bundled up from the chilly winter temperatures.

The supermodel, 27, who was recently spotted arriving in the Big Apple by helicopter, made her way wearing a pair of faded black straight leg jeans, gray and white sneakers and a long black leather coat. 

The runway veteran brushed her long blonde hair straight and topped it with a brown hat with purple trim. 

The Next In Fashion host added some texture to the ensemble, stacking several pearl and bead necklaces together, and carrying a multicolor bag with a black strap. 

The popular cover model opened up in the most recent issue of Elle, about how she came to be part of the design competition show.

She replaced former co-host Alexa Chung and will join Queen Eye star Tan France in  season two March 3 . 

‘Netflix was not easy on me. They really put me through an audition process,’ she said.

‘I respected that, and it made me feel good when I got the job. I felt like I had earned it in their eyes, and so that gave me the confidence to go for it. You get a sense of impostor syndrome and you’re like, “Okay, are they just giving me this show because I have a lot of followers?”‘ Gigi more than 76 million. 

She said the hard questions helped her to jump into the experience headfirst. ‘If they think that I can do it, then that gives me more confidence than maybe I would’ve had otherwise.’

Gigi said she hopes the show will allow fans to see a different side of her, on that can’t be seen in photographs. 

The entrepreneur used her fashion savvy to launch Guest In Residence in September. The line focuses on cashmere classics that can be worn year after year, and contribute to a sustainable wardrobe.  

The former Model of the Year, who suffers from Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune condition that affects the thyroid and the body’s ability to regulate temperature, revealed that having the condition has helped her learn to set boundaries. 

‘One of the boundaries I have is that I have to tell my team when I need rest. They’ve always been understanding and encouraging of that, and then besides that, I think I’ve just learned to make it work for me, and what helps me get through the day and do my best.’
