Genshin Impact Could Feature HP-Scaling Sword Among New 4.1 Weapons

Genshin Impact Could Feature HP-Scaling Sword Among New 4.1 Weapons

If Genshin Impact isn’t going to come out with new weapons, the least they could do is come out with weapons that have a more diverse array of Main Stats that fit some of the characters that scale off them. Enter the new set of weapons that Genshin Impact will feature in the Weapon banner come the 4.1 update. Alongside Neuvillette’s and Wriothesley’s Signature Catalyst Weapons in their respective patches, players will be able to get the new weapons in the Four-Star pool if their luck precedes them. One of the weapons is, according to leaks, a Four-Star Sword, The Dockhand’s Assistant, with the Main Stat set as HP.

When Nilou first came out, it was revealed that she scaled heavily off of HP Percentage to do damage, so players saw fit that she should be equipped with an HP-scaling sword. At the time, however, there was only one: Nilou’s Signature Five-Star Sword, Key of Khaj-Nisut.

And with more characters like Layla, Kuki, and Fontaine Playables, a free-to-play HP-scaling Sword became a necessity.

The weapon banner in Genshin Impact is already a tricky beast with a pity of 80 and a set change that the player wishing on the banner can lose up to two times before getting the guaranteed weapon they have chosen. This means that if your odds are really down in the dumps, you can spend up to 240 wishes trying to get the Five-Star Weapon that you want. That’s 60 more Intertwined Fates you would need if your luck was just as bad on a Character Event Banner.

While it still isn’t guaranteed that players can get this Sword in their pulls, it is about time that HoYoverse expanded the weaponry’s stats more to reflect the needed stats of the character builds they are releasing. Alongside The Dockhand’s Assistant, the claymore, Portable Power Saw, will also be based on HP as its main stat. The Polearm and Bow, however, will still continue to run on Attack Percentage.

This information is still based on leaks that aren’t confirmed yet by HoYoverse, so while this would be good news for many who want more HP-scaling swords, it can still be subject to change upon its final release.
