Gangs Of London is a series bold enough to ask the question: What if Game Of Thrones, but make it modern day gangsters instead of feudal warlords and Ned Stark gets shot in the face point blank in the first episode of the series instead of getting beheaded in Episode 9? From the mind of Gareth Evans (The Raid, The Raid: Redemption) — a man whose modern action sequence bonafides are only matched by Chad Stahelski (John Wick) — GoL made its debut in the UK back in April of 2020, but didn’t make its way to these shores until April of 2021 when AMC+ picked it up. (Yes, we said AMC+, which is probably why you’ve never heard of Gangs until now.) Fortunately, though, both seasons of Gangs Of London are currently airing on Max through October 31, thanks to a unique content-sharing partnership with the struggling AMC. If you were a fan of layered, intense international crime dramas like Gomorrah (either the movie or the show), you’re gonna want to give this one a whirl.
