Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s Ganapath is directed by Vikas Bahl.
Ganapath Box Office Day 1: The Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon and Amitabh Bachchan starrer has opened to low numbers at the box office.
Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s much-awaited movie Ganapath is finally in theatres. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film is getting a positive response from the audience as of now. After watching the first show on Friday, several social media users took to the microblogging site X to appreciate the movie. While some called Ganapath ‘futuristic’, others laud the film for its top-notch action sequences.
“#Ganapath thrusts #Bollywood into a futuristic world with vigor. #TigerShroff does what he does best while #KritiSanon again shows how a heroine can shine in a male-centric plot. Director #VikasBahl’s narrative faces a few, minor bumps along the way, but the end result is an unprecedented spectacle for #Indian #cinema,” one of the users wrote.
As per early estimated quoted by market tracker Sacnilk, the film made 2.50 Cr India net on its first day with an overall 9.72% Hindi Occupancy on Friday, October 20, 2023. The film, that clashed with Divya Khosla Kumar, Meezaan Jafri and Pearl V Puri starrer Yaariyan 2, was a little ahead of it in the race. Yaariyan 2 performed rather low on its first day at the box office and earned only 0.60 Cr India net on its first day with an overall 5.65% Hindi Occupancy on Friday, October 20.
Ganapath, which also features Amitabh Bachchan, is being produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Vikas Bahl. The film is now in theatres in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.
News18’s review of Ganapath read, “Ganapath is a mashup that is constructed from a mountain of absurdities that keeps growing with each passing minute so much so that even Tiger and Kriti cannot salvage the situation.”
