Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced its latest free PlayStation Plus online multiplayer weekend.
Online multiplayer modes for PS4 and PS5 games will be accessible without a PlayStation Plus subscription from December 9 at 12.01am until December 10 at 11.59pm local time.
Players who want to participate in the promotion will need a PlayStation Network account.
The free online multiplayer weekend is being offered as part of Sony’s Season of Play promotion, which will also include new avatars, PlayStation Stars campaigns, eSports tournaments and product discounts.
Sony recently announced December’s PlayStation Plus Essential games will include Lego 2K Drive (PS5, PS4) Powerwash Simulator (PS5, PS4) and Sable (PS5).
PlayStation Plus members will be able to claim the games from December 5 until January 1, 2024.
The platform holder raised PlayStation Plus subscription prices by up to 35% in August.
The move saw the cost of 12-month subscription plans for the service’s Essential, Extra and Premium tiers rise by $20-$40 / £10-£20 / €12-€32 depending on the chosen membership plan.
