The special day is dedicated to honouring the contributions of engineers to society and promoting the field of engineering as a whole. Many actors in the Bollywood industry had previously pursued their careers in engineering and later shifted to acting.

1. Kartik Aaryan:
Bollywood actor Kartik Aryan is very popular among the youth. His parents are doctors. Both of them wanted Kartik to become a doctor or engineer. But Kartik wanted to become an actor. According to reports, he pursued an engineering degree in biotechnology from D. Y. Patil College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai. He has admitted that he would skip his classes and travel for two hours to attend auditions. While studying engineering, he made a career in modelling.
2. Ameesha Patel:
Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel is in the news these days. Recently, she was in the film Gadar 2. Ameesha has studied at the Cathedral and John Connon School located in Mumbai. After that, she obtained a degree in biogenetic engineering from the famous Tufts University located in Boston, America.
3. R. Madhavan:
R. Madhavan has studied at DBMS English School, Jamshedpur. After this, he took a B.Sc. degree in electronics from Rajaram College, Kolhapur. He wanted to become an army officer. During his college days, he was counted among the best NCC cadets in Maharashtra. He has also taken training with the British Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force. However, he couldn’t fulfil his dream of joining the army and fate brought him to Bollywood.
4. Taapsee Pannu:
Taapsee Pannu has created a special identity in a short time based on her brilliant performance. She did her schooling at Mata Jai Kaur Public School located in Ashok Vihar, Delhi. Then she took a degree in computer science engineering from Guru Teg Bahadur Institute of Technology. She also worked for a firm as a software engineer for some time.
5. Vicky Kaushal Education:
Vicky Kaushal needs no introduction. He studied till 12th grade at Seth Chunnilal Damodardas Barfiwala High School, Mumbai. After that, he took a bachelor’s degree in electronics and telecommunications from the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology.
6. Kriti Sanon:
Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon has studied at Delhi Public School located in RK Puram, Delhi. After 12th grade, she was admitted to the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology in Noida. From there, Kriti did her B.Tech. in Electronics and Telecommunications.
