After “Rogers: The Musical” was introduced to Marvel fans in the Disney+ series, Hawkeye, we knew it was only a matter of time before it would appear in the parks. And Disney California Adventure was the lucky recipient of this one-act musical, based on Captain America.
However, it had a fairly short run at the park’s Hyperion Theater, lasting from June 30, 2023, to August 31, 2023. Many fans were encouraging Disney to extend the show’s tenure in the park, and it appears Disney may have listened.
Marquee Mystery
The marquee above the Hyperion Theater provided quite a mysterious message following the show’s final run. Over on X, @MediaverseCU provided some shots of the message:
BREAKING ? Cryptic message graces the Hyperion theater’s marquee after Rogers the Musical had its final performance. Could Disney be hinting at more to come someday?

The marquee reads, “That’s the thing about endings…they can be rewritten.” Of course, Disney hasn’t provided any context for what the marquee is referring to. Could it mean a return of the show in Disney California Adventure? Or could Disney World be the show’s next home? Maybe we’ll see a “rewritten” version of the show, diving into other realities provided by the multiverse? This cryptic message could mean anything, honestly.
Perhaps we’ll get some meaning behind the message at this weekend’s Destination D23 event! And speaking of — we’re attending Destination D23 and we’ll be bringing you live updates, so be sure to follow along at MickeyBlog.com.
