Disney+ and Hulu are hiking the price of their ad-free premium plans to $21.49 from $18.99 per month, while the ad-supported versions are climbing to $12.49 per month, up from $11.99.
Additionally, the company is raising the price of the Disney+/Hulu Premium Bundle to $21.99 per month, up from $19.99. Disney+ and Hulu with ads remains unchanged at $12.99 per month.
The Disney+ and Hulu price increases are effective Wednesday for new subscribers. Existing customers will see the new pricing on their next monthly bill.
The move comes as Disney+ and Hulu remain on track to launch a standalone unified app by year end. Disney will also start introducing elements of its “digital centerpiece” vision under new CEO Josh D’Amaro starting this spring.
