For those who didn’t watch, late in the fourth quarter, on a two-point conversion play that would have tied the Cowboys-Vikings game at 17, there was a non-call. (Your faithful correspondent is not a fan of either team, FYI.) Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Cedric Thornton hit Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Bradford in the face. Look:
Alas, the refs didn’t call the penalty, the pass went incomplete, and the Cowboys walked away with the 17-15 win, to go 11-1 – the best record in the NFL. The close game meant plenty of social media chatter, and the game won Thursday night’s Nielsen Social Content Ratings.
On the non-sports side, in the “Series and Specials” category, a surprise showing by The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. It had Chelsea Handler as its guest. However, the show from the night before has had a lot of social media play. Trevor had a spirited exchange with Tomi Laren from The Blaze. Regardless of your politics, I suggest watching it. It is what respectful and lively debate should look like.
