Corey Mylchreest Joins Weasley Twins Actors In ‘Fantastic Friends’ S2 – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: Here’s a trailer for season 2 of Fantastic Friends, the Dash Pictures travel series from Harry Potter‘s Weasley twins, aka James and Oliver Phelps.

As the vid kicks off, Corey Mylchreest — King George III in Netflix smash Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story — surprises the twins by taking them to ride in a Boeing Stearman biplane in Australia. The actor chuckles and whispers, “He’s so scared,” as Oliver makes his way into the cockpit.

“Having never been to Australia before, simply being able to travel around and see the place was more than enough,” said Mylchreest. “But being the Potter fanboy that I am, to do it with two of my idols growing up was a dream come true. I can safely, but more importantly, solemnly swear we got up to no good.”

The Phelps brothers played Fred and George Weasley in Warner Bros.’s Harry Potter franchise between 1997 and 2007 and have been hosting Fantastic Friends since 2022. Europe-based distributor Off the Fence sells the show and season 1 went to the likes of The CW, HBO Max in EMEA, Crave in Canada and TVNZ in New Zealand. UK producer Dash Pictures is behind the show, with Daniel Sharp (Billy & Dom Eat The World; The Frontier; Vikings: The Rise and Fall) producing and directing.

Also featuring in the trailer are the twins’ Potter co-stars Harry Matthew Lewis, Mark Williams, Alfred Enoch, Natalia Tena and Stanislav Yanevski, Game of Thrones Alfie Allen and Genesis Rodriguez (The Umbrella Academy). We revealed the line-up back in January.

Footage takes Phelps’ trying out ice climbing, snowmobiling, circus tricks, snorkelling, steam train driving and kayaking among other activities along with their guests.

Fantastic Friends was Oliver’s brainchild, but we found out straight away that our friends who joined us for season one were fully behind it,” said James Phelps. “We always wanted their input into activities and the places we went to.”

“Seeing the world with your brother and some friends is the perfect combination,” added Oliver Phelps. “One thing we always wanted was for the audience to feel like they are on the journey with us.  We wanted to show not just the nice parts of travel but felt it was important to include parts people may forget – the early starts, long days, getting lost – it’s all in there.”
