See the next generation of filmmakers! CineYouth 2023 presents 65 short films across 10 programming blocks featuring everything from uproarious comedies to genre-bending thrills to family-friendly fun. Plus, CineYouth features two workshops focused on social impact through storytelling and creative collaboration through editing, live filmmaker Q&As, and more!

Tickets and all events are free and open to the public. Join us for our Opening Night Chicagoland program on Friday, April 21 at 7pm and stay for creative, inspiring films all weekend long!

Digging Deeper into Movies: Style, Story, and Sexuality: Joyland

Join the Chicago International Film Festival and Nick Davis, Northwestern Professor and film critic, for a series of free interactive lectures exploring recent releases and festival films from around the world. This month’s talk will feature the prize-winning new release Joyland and situate its style and story alongside work from Syria and Afghanistan, paying particular attention to their representations of gender and sexuality.
