Christine Is The Villain Of Too Hot To Handle Season 5

Christine Is The Villain Of Too Hot To Handle Season 5

Every season of Too Hot To Handle has revealed a spicy villain, from ultimate heartbreaker Francesca Farago to bad boy Chase DeMoor, but season 5 has a different kind of villain in Christine Obanor. The lip-licking “Houston Hottie” may be aggressive in her pursuits at the retreat, but a softer edge makes Christine likable than previous THTH villains. Her story arc in the first four episodes makes her infinitely more multi-faceted and could lead to a fascinating THTH outcome.

Interestingly, the most aggressively sexy alpha female characters on THTH tend to become breakout stars, with THTH season 4’s sweet Kayla Richart being the exception. There’s something a little dangerous about Christine that makes her an obvious choice for a villain, but depending on her actions during her unexpected date with newcomer Trey, she may not be the coldhearted bad guy like Francesca or Chase that Too Hot To Handle season 5 needs for entertainment value. However, her vacillation between good and evil could make for a more interesting villain arc.

Christine Isn’t On THTH To Make Friends

Before the Too Hot To Handle season 5 cast was made aware they were not on a fake show called Love Overboard but rather Lana’s sex-ban retreat, the girls commiserated regarding which man they found most attractive. While Courtney Randolph claimed Isaac Francis and Elys Hutchinson struggled to choose between Alex Snell and Hunter LoNigro, Hannah, Megan Thomson, and Christine Obanor all revealed they had their eye on handsome British model Louis Russell. Megan and Hannah kept it polite, but Christine immediately made it clear she would be the one to claim Louis and that she wasn’t on the show to make friends. This assertion made Christine the outspoken villain before the games truly began.

Christine Is a Rule Breaker

Louis Russell And Hannah Brooke Too Hot To Handle Season 5

Despite Hannah having an initial claim on Louis, Christine convinced him to sleep in her bed through a combination of sex appeal and fear tactics. Louis was intimidated by Christine after her glaring when he revealed he would sleep in Hannah’s bed the first night. After breaking the rules with Hannah, Christine seduced Louis into yet another rule break on the beach, but he neglected to share it with either Hannah or Christine. Louis eventually suggested he and Hannah explore other options, and Christine pretended to be unsure of exploring her relationship with Louis, but it was all a part of her plan. Christine is a woman who gets what she wants.

While it’s unclear whether Christine will kiss Trey on their beachside date, she likely remained faithful to Louis. If she did kiss Trey, she would become a more traditional THTH villain. However, as it stands, she has shown a more multi-faceted, human side to herself than previous villains on the show. It’s worth noting that women are often labeled as villains if they are aggressive, unapologetically ambitious, and overtly sexual. If these are Christine’s only crimes, perhaps there is no true Too Hot To Handle season 5 villain.
