A source told Us that the “If I Could Turn Back Time” songstress was not letting the online noise affect her.
“Cher knows full well that there’s a lot of skepticism about this romance but she couldn’t care less,” the insider told Us that same month. “She’s reveling in the attention and saying that she and AE have something very special going on that’s made her feel more alive and sexier than ever.”

Cher and Edwards sparked romance rumors after they were spotted holding hands during an outing in Los Angeles.
Shortly after taking their relationship public, the Grammy winner took to social media to answer questions from her followers. In response to a fan, Cher revealed that everyone in her family has already met her new man.
After a commentator asked if the music producer treated her well, Cher replied, “LIKE A ?.”

The actress sparked romance rumors when she tweeted a photo of a pear-shaped diamond ring, writing, “THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E.”
Cher said she wished she could show her late mother, Georgia Holt, the sparkler. “Woke up a min ago, & 1st thing … B4 I opened my eyes, I thought … ‘I need 2 run to moms & show her my ring,'” she continued wrote. “She loves Diamonds. Before I realized it … I had a little tear, but I’m sure this is natural. Bet moms ears were burning last nite. We were telling stories about her, WHAT A WOMAN.”
In a follow-up tweet, Cher noted that she posted the ring because she wanted to show off Edwards’ “cool” nails.

Despite speculation the pair were engaged, Us confirmed the twosome had called it quits after six months of dating.
“AE and Cher were never engaged and that ring he got her was just a gift,” a source exclusively told Us at the time. “However, they had gotten very close and his son would even go over to Cher’s house in Malibu to play. Their relationship was real and they split a few weeks ago. There’s no bad blood between them and they’re on good terms.”

Cher opened up about how her significant age gap with Edwards can cause some hilarious miscommunication. “Sometimes I’m talking to him and he has no idea who I’m talking about,” she said in an interview with Extra. “The other day, I said, ‘Do you know who, I don’t know, Clark Gable [is]?’ Somebody said, ‘Yes, of course,’ but most of my references … He’ll look at me and go, ‘I wasn’t born yet.’”
She went on to note that they “have a great time together,” adding, “We can talk [about] music. We can talk about everything. He’s got a great sense of humor, he’s got the cutest son in the world, ever. … We just get each other.”
