Earlier this month, we brought you news about a new set of Disney pins that featured the first appearances of various Marvel characters.
This new series of pins is a great celebration of Marvel history, showing the front cover of the comic that an Avenger or villain made their debut. Inside the pins, more information is given about the characters, including the year of their debut.
While in the past, we have seen Iron Man and Spider-Man characters highlighted in these releases, we now have arrived at a new set of characters.
When visiting Riverside Depot at Disney’s Animal Kingdom today, we came upon two new “first appearance” pins, featuring brothers and adversaries Thor and Loki.

Thor First Appearance Pin
The first new pin in this set features the God of Thunder Thor, in his first Marvel appearance.
The Mighty Thor debuted in Journey Into Mystery. At the time of his debut, Thor was advertised as “the most exciting super-hero of all time!”.
The inside of the pin tells you that Thor debuted in Journey Into Mystery #83 in 1962.
Across the way, Thor poses holding Mjolnir as he proclaims ” The Legend Has Come True”!
If you are a Thor fan, this pin is a great reminder of where Thor came from and when he started!
Loki First Appearance Pin
The second new “first appearance” pin features the debut of the God of Mischievous- Loki.
Like his brother Thor, Loki debuted in Journey Into Mystery as the main antagonist for Thor.
The inside of the pin informs that Loki made his first appearance in Journey Into Mystery #85 in 1962.
The other side of the pin features Loki in his classic costume looking down on the mortals around him.
