Celebrate Joe Jonas’ birthday with this six song playlist

Celebrate Joe Jonas’ birthday with this six song playlist

If you’re like many women growing up in the 2000s, then you were probably obsessed with the Jonas Brothers. If you had taste, Joe Jonas was your favorite.

All jokes aside, Joe Jonas is definitely one of those artists you listen to and you know his voice pretty distinctly. Additionally, he’s an attractive man and the ultimate Leo king. All in all, August 15th is a massive day for birthdays, myself included.

Jonas also shares a birthday with Jennifer Lawrence, Ben Affleck, and Carlos PenaVega. Of all of them, Joe Jonas has such an extensive musical catalog that it would only be right to create a playlist of some of his best work for his birthday.

If you love Joe Jonas or the Jonas Brothers in general, I’d love to know which songs you consider some of Joe’s best work in the comments.

These first two songs showcase Joe Jonas’ voice as a member of the Jonas Brothers.

Usually, Joe and Nick share the lead vocal roles in Jonas Brothers’ songs. However, it was rare to see only Joe featured during a song. However, 2008’s “BB Good” was a song in which Joe took the lead for almost the entire song. Either way, the song still remains one of the most iconic releases from an album that was frankly dominated by Nick. While this song wasn’t the most popular by the band, it’s a must-listen if you’re a fan of Joe’s vocals.

Of course, I’d be remiss to not include one of the Jonas Brothers’ songs from their comeback. While “Sucker” is an amazing song, the song that really showcases Joe’s talents is “Only Human.” This was the third single from the album and Joe really puts his whole soul into this one. It’s a super fun and dancey song too if you’re looking for something to get your energy high and make you have as much fun as possible.

These next two outings by Joe Jonas are via his DNCE days.

While most people associate DNCE with “Cake By the Ocean,” one song that really shows off how talented Joe can be is “Body Moves.” This song is about hooking up with someone and just spending your time, getting to know their body better. Honestly, this song is another one where you’ll want to get up and dance. Plus this is easily one of the sexiest music videos Joe Jonas has ever been a part of.

As for a more recent release, “Dancing Feet” was the first single upon DNCE’s return in 2022. This song is essentially about having fun and getting back together with the person you want to be with even though it might not necessarily happen. Either way, this song has such an awesome beat and great lyrics that you’ll either be singing or dancing along before you know it.

These final two songs showcase Joe Jonas’ solo outings.

When it comes to solo music, Joe never seemed to get the appreciation he deserved. Thankfully, a lot of us knew how iconic he was and continues to be. However, his album Fastlife failed to chart but one of the most popular songs from the album was “See No More.” This song is a breakup anthem and one that most of us can relate to. In particular, this one shows off what Joe’s solo career could have been but ultimately, it didn’t reach the success he so rightfully deserved.

The final song making the cut for this Joe-tastic playlist is actually a song Joe was featured in. This is a remix of “I Bet” by Ciara but with Joe sprinkled in there. While Ciara is still the main focus, Joe does have a verse on the single and he sounds incredible. Honestly, it’s such a strong departure from what he normally sings that it shows off how talented he is. I’d love to see Joe and Ciara come together again in the future tbh as they sound great together.

Regardless of what you listen to today or any day, picking a song with Joe Jonas in it is always a good idea. However, hopefully, you’re able to either find a new favorite from this list or end up rediscovering a song you loved in the past.
