Cardi B is taking her love for You to superfan levels.
After the first batch of episodes for You‘s fourth season hit Netflix on February 9, quickly skyrocketing to the streaming platform’s number one TV show in the US, Cardi B made it known that she’s been watching.
On Thursday evening, she uploaded a brand-new profile picture on Twitter. The twist? It’s star Penn Badgley’s face in character as Joe Goldberg, looking uber creepy.
She may be extra obsessed with the show this season considering her hit single with J Balvin and Bad Bunny, “I Like It,” is featured in the first episode.
This isn’t the first time Cardi B and Penn Badgley have crossed paths online. In 2019, Badgley mentioned the rapper at the event, In Conversation With You, praising her for her authentic connection with her fans. “To me, [social media] is this incredibly nuanced place to be, and despite what many might judge as antics, I feel she has an incredibly authentic relationship to that, and I think that’s why people like her so much,” he said.
Naturally, Cardi freaked out and changed her profile picture to Badgley’s character, tweeting: “OOOOMMFFFGGGGGG HE KNOWS ME !!!OMMMGGGG!!!!!!Yoooo like I’m famous famous.” Badgley’s response to her profile pic change was to follow her lead and make Cardi his profile picture. Cardi’s love for You only strengthened when Joe Goldberg sent her a personal package of goodies ahead of the season-three premiere.
