Legendary game show host Bob Barker has died at 99.
A rep for Bob told TMZ that he died of natural causes at his Los Angeles home this morning.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce that the World’s Greatest MC who ever lived, Bob Barker has left us,” publicist Roger Neal said in a statement shared with NBC News.
“I am so proud of the trailblazing work Barker, and I did together to expose the cruelty to animals in the entertainment industry and including working to improve the plight of abused and exploited animals in the United States and internationally,” Bob’s girlfriend Nancy Burnet added in the statement. “We were great friends over these 40 yrs. He will be missed.”
Bob famously hosted ThePrice Is Right on CBS for over 30 years. He retired from the role in 2007 but continued to make guest appearances on the show alongside its newfound host, comedian Drew Carey.
People reports that Bob is survived by a half-brother, Kent, a half-niece, Vickie, and half-nephews, Robert and Chip.
Sending our condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.
