Hey, Upper East Siders. On Monday, April 24, Blake Lively made her first red carpet appearance since welcoming her fourth child with husband Ryan Reynolds in February. As usual, the stylist star didn’t disappoint. Channeling the uptown vibe of the event—Barnard College’s annual gala—Lively nodded to the prim-and-proper fashion often seen on her hit show Gossip Girl. Though, the elegant frock was more suitable to Blair Waldorf than Lively’s own Serena van der Woodsen.

Hear me out: The floral, off-the-shoulder gown by Carolina Herrera—from the label’s fall 2023 collection—is similar to an Oscar de la Renta dress that Blair wore in season four, and the character’s floral-filled Hamptons wardrobe in season two. While Lively’s Serena was all about free-spirited style (she loved bohemian maxi dresses, little vests, and ginormous belts), Blair (played by Leighton Meester) had a more sweet, feminine fashion sense that Lively channeled on the red carpet this week.
