Blackmagic Design Desktop Video 16.0.1 is Released to Fix Minor Bug With DeckLink 8K Pro

As part of our never-ending series of firmware updates to products released to fix minor issues that sometimes, but not always, stem from other firmware updates, we have a new update available for Blackmagic Design Desktop Video.

Set to fix one minor issue with DeckLink 8K Pro capture cards, this update isn’t major, but it does fix a bug that would be recommended to take care of now rather than later.

Here’s what you need to know about this latest update for Desktop Video 16.0.1.

Desktop Video 16.0.1 Update

As mentioned above, this isn’t a huge update. In fact, it really just has one bug fix, and that’s it. The bug is a 12G-SDI issue on the DeckLink 8K Pro capture card,, specifically, when the HDMI mezzanine card is not installed.

And yup, that’s pretty much it. Yet, despite its simplicity, it’s certainly a recommended update you should probably download and install now rather than later, especially if you’ve experienced this issue and are looking for a quick fix.

You can find more info on how to download and install on Blackmagic Design’s website here.
