If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that this weekend is the big Destination D23 event at Walt Disney World and we’ve been sharing a whole host of awesome information about what’s in the pipeline at the Disney theme parks. This afternoon we shift our attention to the West Coast where something very exciting is happy at Disney California Adventure. The popular Marvel Avengers Campus is going to be getting its THIRD ATTRACTION!
Disneyland Resort released an artist’s concept drawing for the upcoming new addition. Let’s take a closer look!
What we know so far is that our favorite superheroes have created a new vehicle that is capable of jumping between worlds, realities, planet Earth, and beyond! The new machine combines concepts from Tony Stark’s time suits with Xandarian jump points AND Wakandan technology. We’re told the end product will be an incredible bit of tech combining portal technology and flight capabilities to move through the skies. The end product will transport heroes to remote worlds in moments!
So far, from what we know, this ride is giving us major Star Tours vibes but let’s wait for Disney to reveal more exciting details in the days and weeks ahead. Disney has yet to announce an opening date for the new Avengers Campus Attraction.
The third Avengers Campus attraction will join WEB Slingers, a Spider-Man-themed ride that has superheroes in training slinging their very own spider webs to stop menacing bots from taking over the theme park. There is also Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT where you join Rocket on a crazy ride aboard a gantry life to rescue Gamora, Star-Lord, and the rest of the gang from The Collector!
