Baldur’s Gate 3’s next major update will be released next week, Larian Studios has confirmed.
Patch 3 will launch alongside full support for Baldur’s Gate 3 on Mac, it said.
Larian had originally hoped for the Mac version of the RPG to leave Early Access on September 6, when the game was also released for PlayStation 5.
“Thank you from the fiery infernal engine we keep in place of our heart,” Larian said. “We couldn’t have asked for a better response to Baldur’s Gate 3.
“Patch 3 is coming September 21 with full support for BG3 on Mac.”
Baldur’s Gate 3 has received two major updates since it debuted on PC on August 3.
A delayed Xbox version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will arrive later this year after split-screen co-op was removed as a feature on Series S.
Larian recently confirmed that it plans to support Baldur’s Gate 3 PC and console cross-play in the future.
Larian senior product manager Tom Butler said last month that the studio was discussing the possibility of expanding Baldur’s Gate 3 with DLC, but that its current focus was on releasing the console version and improving the base game.
“We’ll carry on patching for a while and then we’re all going to take a holiday and then we’ll figure out what we do next,” he told IGN. “But at the moment, we genuinely have discussions. We want to do more. We don’t know what yet.”
