Baldur’s Gate 3’s Fantastical Multiverse Mod Adds 54 Races From D&D and FFXIV

A New Baldur’s Gate 3 mod adds plenty of Dungeons and Dragons races that missed the initial launch. The mod’s creator, DungeonsAndSouls, also added some player races from Final Fantasy XIV. With this mod, there certainly is no shortage of new races for players to test out.

D&D’s fifth edition has seen several expansions with Xanathar’s Guide to Everything and a few other new sourcebooks. Of course, it would be impossible to include every single race found in pre-existing and future installments in the long-running tabletop game. Still, the Fantastical Multiverse is set on bringing many popular races to BG3.

Whether you’re looking to play a Sea Elf or a Minotaur, this mod lets players explore how the other half lives.

Of course, the other exciting part is that this mod also brings in our Final Fantasy friends from the world of Eorzea. The mod allows players to choose the Hyur, Elezen, Roegadyn, and Garlean empire races.

While there’s plenty to sink your teeth into here, DragonsAndSouls are also working on bringing even more races to the game with this mod. On the official page of Nexus Mods, the developer has a list of races they would like to get to down the line. No ETA has been given on any of them, but take a look yourself. We’re waiting for the Ascians to be added so we can finally roleplay as Emet-Selch.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has seen critical success unlike no other game this year. it’s been full of exciting developments, and the team has been hard at work patching in epilogues for each of the Origin Characters. The team at Larian even patched in the ability to finally let your Short King kiss taller characters in the game after some fan outcry.
