On September 4th, local filmmakers and creatives packed into Role Call Theater at Ponce City Market in Atlanta, GA, to watch award-winning films and table reads of new screenplays. The 2022 Summer in the South Film Festival is part of the Cinema Life Film Festival Collective, which also includes Atlanta Comedy Film Festival, Atlanta Women’s Film Festival, Georgia Shorts Film Festival, Women’s Comedy Film Festival, and Southern Horror Film Festival. This film festival collective is geared toward the independent filmmaker and the website also serves as a hub for hopeful filmmakers to seek guidance on how to submit a project to a film festival.
Each of the films had a specific award category for which it was nominated. Over the course of the festival, the audience enjoyed award-winning short films, two table reads, filmmaker Q&A sessions, and an award ceremony, and creatives had the opportunity to network with one another.

About Cinema Life Film Festival Collective:
Cinema Life was founded by CEO, Caroline King, with the mission to connect independent filmmakers, provide education and resources and provide platforms to showcase their work all while reducing the barrier to entry into the world of film festivals.
An Atlanta-based actress, model, writer, and screenwriter, Miranda started her career on stage in high school. She figured out that acting and writing were two passions of hers that allowed her to constructively express her emotions through character and narrative. In 2022, she packed up her cat and everything she owned to move across the US to Atlanta to further pursue opportunities in the entertainment industry. She is currently working on a novel and the screenplay adaptation for the novel, and enjoys designing graphics.
