A new report revealed when Marvel Studios’ Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be going into production.
The upcoming fifth crossover event is one of the most highly anticipated projects that Marvel Studios has to offer in the coming year.
Sure, overall excitement was tempered a little due to Kang Dynasty‘s writer, Jeff Loveness, penning a poorly received Ant-Man film. But it’s still a big team-up movie, and there’ll always be some sort of hype with those type of events.
Now, fans know when cameras are looking to start rolling.
The Kang Dynasty is Almost Here
A new report from Variety has revealed when fans can expect cameras to start rolling for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
The outlet shared that the massive event blockbuster is set to begin production in the spring of next year.
Currently, The Kang Dynasty is aiming for a May 2, 2025 release date.
For additional reference, Age of Ultron started filming in February 2014 and released 15 months later in May 2015.
Infinity War‘s production began in January 2017 and hit theaters fifteen months later in April 2018.
Given those examples, it doesn’t look promising that the fifth Avengers movie will hit its intended release date.
When Will The Kang Dynasty Arrive?
The Kang Dynasty‘s inevitable delay is constantly the subject of conversation amongst fans. Given all of the turmoil going on behind the scenes at Marvel Studios, perhaps that’s best.
Most importantly, the studio is in the midst of a massive scandal involving the actor bringing Kang the Conqueror to life: Jonathan Majors.
The actor was arrested in late March for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. Most recently, multiple women came forward with new claims alleging Majors of abuse.
Fans might want to start bracing themselves for even bigger changes in the house of Marvel Studios.
Given everything happening, it seems a foregone conclusion that Kang Dynasty will not be seeing a release in 2025. It’ll most likely be pushed down the timeline another year, as will Secret Wars.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is set to hit theaters on May 2, 2025.
