It’s only fitting that the event of a lifetime has a star-studded guest list. The Coronation of King Charles III is a big deal, as the last coronation was in 1953 for the late Queen Elizabeth II, so guests of the royal event are expected to show up and show out.
The king’s sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, will be at their father’s side for the momentous occasion, as is Kate Middleton and her and William’s three kids. Meghan Markle, however, is remaining at home in California with her and Harry’s children.
Those lucky enough to be invited, like Americans Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, gave the crowd something to talk about. Though President Joe Biden is unable to attend, First Lady Jill Biden is expected to take her husband’s place.
Other famous faces like Dame Emma Thompson and musician Nick Cave also showed up for the royal event. It’s not every day a King gets crowned, so you can bet all of the bells, whistles, and stops are being pulled.
