Our Netflix boyfriend is back (and in a brand new way). Noah Centineo will return to the platform that made him a star as part of the upcoming thriller series, The Recruit. Although it won’t drop until December 16, Netflix just released details about the series at its Annual Tudum event. Check out everything you need to know.
All about Noah Centineo’s return to Netflix
Noah first rose to popularity as part of the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before franchise and Sierra Burgess Is a Loser. Although he has been acting from a young age, his appearance in highly successful Netflix films gave him his rise to stardom. Not only will he be returning, but will also be returning as the lead in the new series.
The Recruit will also give fans the opportunity of seeing Noah serve as executive producer. Alongside Noah, the series will include actors Fivel Stewart, Vondie Curtis Hall, Kristian Bruun, Aarti Mann, Colton Dunn, and Daniel Quincy Annoh.
The movie will star Noah as Owen Hendricks, a lawyer at the CIA. Netflix describes him as someone who “becomes enmeshed in dangerous international power politics when a former asset threatens to expose the agency”.
Is it a departure from his well-known roles as a boyfriend or crush? Yes. But are we excited? Yes!
It is time for Noah to evolve into not only a starring role and franchise but away from the roles he has done before. While this role will see Noah still playing a younger role, it truly looks like it will be an evolution for the star.
