With less than five months to go until Earth’s Mightiest Heroes assemble for Avengers: Doomsday, Marvel has finally released the first full trailer for the film.
Featuring much of the same footage that was shared at CinemaCon, the new Avengers: Doomsday trailer sees the Marvel multiverse collide, pitting heroes against each other even as the rising threat of Doctor Doom looms large.
Here is a scene-by-scene breakdown of the action.
An Unthinkable Decision
The action begins at the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters, which lies in ruins.

“Something’s coming,” Doom warns in his thick Latvarian accent. “Something we may not be able to deter. Before this day is done, we shall be faced with an unthinkable decision.”

Finally, we get our first glimpse at Doom’s visage.

The Fantastic Four Arrive at Avengers Tower
The action then shifts to New York, where Thor takes over the narration. Here, we get a new look at New Avengers Tower.

“I’ve fought with many warriors in my time,” he says. “They were far stronger than all of us put together. And they died.”

“They died facing enemies and threats that scared me far less than this one.”
As Thor talks, he arrives with the Fantastic Four.

They are greeted by Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes, and Ant-Man.

Eventually, it is revealed that the Asgardian is giving a speech to both the New Avengers and Sam Wilson’s Avengers team.

As you can see, the rest of the Thunderbolts/New Avengers are present. This scene also gives us a good look at the New Avengers Tower.
Wakanda Prepares For War
From there, the trailer then moves to Wakanda, where Shuri, M’Baku, and the Dora Milaje are preparing for battle.

They are joined by Namor and the Talokanil.

It appears that a skirmish breaks out between the two nations.

Interstingly it appears that Namor is sitting on a throne set on land.
Universes Collide
Next, we get a brief shot of Thor preparing to confront Doom on the ruins of the TVA.

Returning to the X-Mansion, we see the trailer’s first real look at Cyclops.

Additionally, Shang-Chi faces off with Gambit.

“Everything that they sacrificed will be for nothing,” Thor continues. “If we do not stand together.”
At this point, we get a glimpse of Loki in his TVA uniform. This scene appears to be set before the events of Loki Season 2.

It appears that whoever he is talking to (Steve Rogers?) has been given a card.

Next, we see a meeting between M’Baku, Shuri, Ben Grimm, Sue Storm, Bucky Barnes, Ghost, and Sam Wilson.

It appears that the Avengers and Fantastic Four have arrived as Wakanda and the Talokanil are fighting. Sue may even be holding back the raging waters.
The trailer continues with scenes of Reed Richards and Yelena Belova fighting Mystique back at the mansion.

Mystique uses her powers to shape-shift into a copy of the New Avengers.
The two then engage in hand-to-hand combat.
Next, we see Professor Xavier and Magneto comforting each other.

This is followed by a quick shot of Scott and Cassie Lang.

He is followed by Sue Storm and Shuri.

Once again, it appears that Sue has bought Shuri time, as the two heroes appear to be nodding to each other.

“Put aside your petty squabbles,” Thor continues. “Presume nothing except this. If you return, you will return as brothers and sisters.”
Finally, we get a quick look at Anthonie Mackie’s Captain America in the X-Mansion.

This is followed by another brief look at Gambit and Shang-Chi fighting and Namor in action.

Thor Confronts Doom
Back at the TVA, we get a quick scene where Thor strikes Doctor Doom with Stormbreaker.

The Latvarian is able to block the weapon with two fingers.

We also finally get a good look at Doom’s iconic mask.

“In other words, we are going to need a miracle,” Thor summarizes.

Enter Steve Rogers
Finally, we get a meeting between Thor and Steve Rogers.

“Hey, pal,” Steve says.

“It’s not possible,” Thor replies before the former Captain America summons Mjolnir from the God of Thunder’s hand.

There also appears to be someone standing behind Steve.
