HBO announced A Black Lady Sketch Show will return for Season 4. Created by actress, comedian and executive producer Robin Thede, the ensemble sketch series stars Thede, Ashley Nicole Black, Gabrielle Dennis and Skye Townsend and has garnered critical acclaim.
Amy Gravitt, evp of programming at HBO, said in a statement, “Robin, Gabrielle, Ashley and Skye brought so much life to each character they portrayed in every sketch. We’re beyond excited to explore even more comedic worlds with a fourth season of A Black Lady Sketch Show.”
Commenting on the fourth season renewal, Thede said, “A Black Lady Sketch Show has created an indelible mark thanks to the trust and support of the incredible team at HBO. We are ecstatic to be heading into a fourth season that means so much to our cast, crew and the dedicated audience who so passionately loves our show.”
A Black Lady Sketch Show debuted on HBO in 2019 and boasts an impressive list of cameo appearances, including Angela Bassett, director Ava DuVernay (Selma, When They See Us), Issa Rae (Insecure), Raven-Symoné, Kelly Rowland, Laverne Cox (Orange Is The New Black), Gabrielle Union, Wanda Sykes and Patti LaBelle.
All three seasons of A Black Lady Sketch Show are currently streaming on HBO Max.
