How much time do you spend taking pictures of yourself, various characters and the environment in Disney Dreamlight Valley? Personally, I’ve spent many hours getting some for work, but have spent plenty of time in my free time finding cute pictures of companions, snapping photos of my house and seeing what kind of poses different characters have. It’s a great way to express your creativity, and the upcoming DreamSnaps update lets us take this to the next level.
Disney Dreamlight Valley DreamSnaps Update – All Confirmed Details
Earlier today, the official DDLV Twitter and Discord announced that the DreamSnaps update is coming soon! It’ll feature weekly challenges where we can submit photos and vote on each other’s pictures for a chance to get weekly Moonstone rewards! By participating in this weekly challenge, we have the opportunity to get free premium currency to go toward Star Paths and shop items.
The following posts also explain that, although it is a smaller-scale update, a new feature will be implemented that ties everything together.

The social media accounts also confirm that this new addition will evolve over time, meaning that we’ll get to participate and experiment with submissions for months, or even years, after its initial launch.
While there is no exact release date yet, we can anticipate more information in the coming weeks as we get deeper into the summer. The posts confirm that it is a “summer update”, so we can expect this to be released sometime in July or August.
Since this is the first look into the few update, we can also expect more details regarding this new feature and the types of photos we’ll submit in the weekly challenges. In the meantime, we can all prepare our photography skills in anticipation of the event!
Disney Dreamlight Valley is available to play on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation platforms.
