Latest The Continental Posters Promise to Raise the Bar in the Name of Suite Revenge

The latest posters for the upcoming John Wick spinoff series The Continental promise to “raise the bar” in the name of “suite revenge.” Released courtesy of Peacock, which will debut the miniseries later this year, this latest look at The Continental teases the same gritty violence and bloodshed that has helped make the John Wick franchise so popular. Check out the new posters for The Continental below.

The Continental will center on the early years of John Wick’s friend, colleague, and confidante Winston Scott, played throughout the John Wick series by Ian McShane, detailing how he came to his position as proprietor of The Continental hotel in the 1970s and establishing it as a safe haven for assassins where no business may take place.

Keanu Reeves is Currently Causing a Box Office Storm with John Wick: Chapter 4

Lionsgate

Of course, The Continental would be nothing without Keanu Reeves’ John Wick, and with the latest sequel, John Wick: Chapter 4, currently causing a box office storm, the studio must be feeling very confident about expanding the franchise with spinoffs and prequels.

John Wick: Chapter 4 finds the titular assassin uncovering a path to defeating the High Table, but before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into new foes. With the price on his head ever-increasing, John Wick: Chapter 4 sees Wick takes his fight against the High Table global as he seeks out the most powerful players in the underworld, from New York to Paris to Osaka to Berlin. Directed by Chad Stahelski and starring Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins, and Ian McShane, the fourth outing has been met with critical acclaim as well as financial success.

The Continental is just one of the spinoffs set for release, with No Time to Die star Ana de Armas set to lead Ballerina. Taking place between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4, Ballerina will follow the ballerina-assassin Rooney as she hunts down the people who murdered her family. Directed by Len Wiseman from a screenplay by Shay Hatten and Emerald Fennell, Ballerina is scheduled to be released on June 7, 2024.

The Continental meanwhile does not yet have a release date, but is expected to premiere on Peacock in late 2023.
