This just in, looks like our favorite upper east siders are coming back. Packing it in with all their dirty drama and messiness all around. HBO Max has given us a first look at this new season which is going to be featuring plenty of surprises with old and new faces returning.

What will this season be about?
It’s the second semester of Junior year and Gossip Girl is leaving no stone unturned in her effort to control the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite. It looks like she has learned a thing or two from her first go-round. Namely what her audience wants, they shall get. It’s time for her to turn the heat up on what’s been simmering. Old enemies, new allies and constantly shifting sands this semester. There can only be one queen. By the end of the school year, everyone will know where the bodies are buried and just who was holding the shovel.
Who will be returning?
The main players will all be returning as follows: Jordan Alexander playing as Julien Calloway. Eli Brown playing as Otto “Obie” Bergmann IV. Thomas Doherty playing as Max Wolfe. Tavi Gevinson playing as Kate Keller aka GG. Emily Alyn Lind playing as Audrey Hope. Evan Mock playing as Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak and Savannah Lee Smith playing as Monet de Haan. They will all be all returning with the addition of a new series regular Grace Duah.
Surprise Guests?

As we can see in the trailer it looks like some of our the older cast from the original Gossip Girl will be returning. No word on who yet, but be sure for plenty of surprises in this coming season. Georgina Sparks looks to be returning who is played by Michelle Trachtenberg. We all love to love her and hate her at the same time. It was teased in the last season that she will be coming in with her son attending Constance Billiard and St. Jude . It has been since a decade since we have last scene this iconic badass and we can be sure she will causing plenty of drama, she can’t help it.
The new Gossip girl, Kate who is played by Tavi Gevinson, comes face to face with the OG baddie Georgina after she sneaks into her apartment for a moment of reckoning. As Amy Winehouse’s “You Know I’m No Good” plays in the background, it’s clear Season 2 will be a battle between old GG and new GG. A battle to the social death we would say and we can’t wait to see who comes out the winner.
