Hallmark channel releases ‘The Way Home’ teaser trailer

The Hallmark channel has released the teaser trailer for it’s latest show, The Way Home. Hallmark plans on releasing the new show next year. The channel has worked with Andie MacDowell on dozens of holiday movies and other projects, so comes as no surprise that they reached out to her to play their main character, Del. The show enlists a nice cast to round out their line up to tell the story about a family, specifically women, who are brought together and are in the mist of turmoil.

According to the Hallmark channel, The Way Home is a family drama following the lives of three generations of women who are all strong, willful and independent. The trio is brought together after more than 20 years apart and slowly work on finding their footing as a family.

Kat Landry (Chyler Leigh), her 15-year-old daughter Alice, and Kat’s estranged mother Del (Andie MacDowell) are all strong, willful and independent. More than 20 years prior, life-changing events created a chasm in their family that time has yet to repair. Kat and Del still aren’t on speaking terms.

Alice has never met her grandmother and is unaware of the reasons for their fractured family. When the three generations come together under one roof for the first time in more than two decades, a surprising discovery unexpectedly sets the trio on a path toward healing and helps them find their way back to each other.

Check out the teaser trailer below:

It’s executive produced by Marly Reed, Arnie Zipursky and Lauren MacKinlay for Neshama Entertainment; Larry Grimaldi, Hannah Pillemer and Fernando Szew for MarVista Entertainment; and Heather Conkie, Alexandra Clarke, MacDowell and Leigh.

The first of the ten-episode season premieres on Hallmark Channel on Sunday, January 15th and can be watched on demand the next day on all platforms where Hallmark is available.
