First Look at Netflix’s All Quiet On The Western Front

All Quiet on the Western Front tells the gripping story of a young German soldier on the Western Front of World War I. Paul and his comrades experience first-hand how the initial euphoria of war turns into desperation and fear as they fight for their lives, and each other, in the trenches.  The film features notable names such as Daniel Brühl, known for his role as Baron Zemo in the MCU, as Matthias Erzberger.  Other actors include; Albrecht Schuch(Stanislaus ‘Kat’ Katczinsky), Felix Kammerer(Paul Baumer), Moritz Klaus(Frantz Muller), Aaron Hilmer(Alber Kropp), Edin Hasanovic(Tjaden Stackfleet), and Devid Striesow and Sebastian Hulk in undisclosed roles.

Other actors include; Albrecht Schuch(Stanislaus ‘Kat’ Katczinsky), Felix Kammerer(Paul Baumer), Moritz Klaus(Frantz Muller), Aaron Hilmer(Alber Kropp), Edin Hasanovic(Tjaden Stackfleet), with  Adrian Grünewald, Thibault De Montalembert, Devid Striesow, and Sebastian Hulk in undisclosed roles.  Behind the scenes, Berger is working alongside Lesley Paterson and Ian Stokell on the screenplay, with producers Malte Grunert, Daniel Dreifuss also working alongside Berger.

The upcoming Netflix adaptation of All Quiet on the Western Front was written by Edward Berger, Lesley Paterson, and Ian Stokell and will see Berger in the director’s chair. Netflix’s upcoming film will be the third film adaption of the iconic 1929 novel, following the 1930 Academy-Award-winning film directed by Lewis Milestone and the 1979 television film adaption by Delbert Mann. There is no known release date for the upcoming Netflix adaptation of All Quiet on the Western Front, but it may be released sometime in 2022.
