Josh Wakely’s Grace Games has signed with CAA for representation across all areas.
The newly launched interactive label from Wakely’s production banner, Grace: A Storytelling Company, is focused on “building premium titles rooted in globally recognized artists and cultural icons.”
The New York-based Grace Games is currently in development on an initial slate of several 8-to-15 hour, single-player titles for console and PC.
Grace Games is led by Josh Wakely, Sprinklr vet Matt Tedder, who serves as chief operating officer, and Daniel Lehrich (Netflix Gaming, Activision, Disney) as chief product officer.
In partnership with CAA, Grace Games plans to operate as an “IP steward, story architect, and production company, the company generates and refines original concepts internally before partnering with top-tier game studios for execution.” The company says it aims to “exploit the intersection of iconic entertainment brands and prestige narrative-driven gaming.”
“CAA understands the kind of boundary-pushing, artist-centered storytelling we’ve built at GRACE and the scale of what Grace Games can become,” Wakely said. “Their ability to create one-of-a-kind opportunities across current and evolving platforms makes them the ideal partner as we introduce beloved artists and iconic cultural narratives to an entirely new interactive audience.”
“Grace has built a unique platform at the intersection of music, storytelling, and culture, and their vision for bringing iconic artists and narratives into gaming is incredibly compelling,” CAA head of games Derek Douglas said. “As audiences increasingly engage with entertainment across platforms, Grace Games is creating experiences that honor beloved IP while meeting gamers where they are. We’re excited to partner with the entire Grace team as they expand their reach and build a new category of prestige interactive entertainment.”
