Nasty C and Tellaman release new single 'Big Timing' ahead of their joint album

Nasty C and Tellaman have teamed up once again for their latest release, “Big Timing”.

The track blends smooth R&B melodies with confident hip-hop flows, showcasing the duo’s undeniable chemistry.

“Big Timing” carries a laid-back yet luxurious vibe, centred around success, growth, and levelling up.

The musicians are good friends and have previously worked together, but now they are working on their first extensive joint album. This project represents a significant moment for them and their shared fan base.

“I think it was trying to bring worlds like separately together in a way,” explained Tellaman.

“I’m more on the singing side, Juniors more on the hip-hop side. We’re trying to merge those two and give the fans something dope. It’s going to be a lot of singing, a lot of slappers, but it’s more of a very melodic musical album.”

Leading up to the album release, Nasty C and Tellaman have released a new single, “Big Timing”, which is all about going big with your day ones.

The song features on the deluxe version of Nasty C’s album “Free”.

“It’s like getting famous or getting rich or getting success with the people that you started with at the beginning of the journey. That’s what that song is about.

“It’s about celebrating those people who stayed down with you and hustled with you, and now you guys are both in a better place,” said Nasty C.

Nasty C and Tellaman’s joint album is called “T’s and C’s apply”. Nasty C has previously collaborated with Lekaa Beats on “Confuse The Enemy (Reloded)”.

“The album is heavily themed, and when you listen to it’s gonna take you on a journey. It’s one of those albums where you just go from track one, you press play, and you don’t skip anything,” said Nasty C.

Nasty C and Tellaman worked with different producers on the album and personally produced some songs. “It was just our friends and us trying to make the best music we possibly can at this point.

“We did produce a few songs and got some nice tunes there also that were produced by people from outside of SA,” explained Nasty C.

The project will be released under Nasty C’s label Tall Racks, which now functions as a distribution platform that allows artists to maintain full control over their work, metadata, and earnings.

Operating as independent artists has allowed them to gain valuable experience and maintain control over their careers, noting that the current industry landscape favours independence.

“Being an independent artist, obviously, it has its positives and its negatives. It teaches you a lot as an artist; you have to take a lot of the responsibilities back into your own hands, but at the same time, you feel more hands-on with your own career,” said Nasty C.

The album “T’s and C’s apply” is expected to contain approximately 14 songs with a total of 17 tracks and the artists plan to begin releasing singles in June 2026, intending to drop the full project in July.

“It’s something that our fans have been looking forward to for a very long time. I don’t think it would have made sense to release eight or seven songs as a joint project. You have to give them something, more than just a few songs to quench that thirst, you know,” said Tellaman.

Nasty C and Tellaman don’t want to dictate how their fans should take the music. “We went in there, poured our hearts out. Got as creative as we could at the time and we’re putting it out with the hopes that people enjoy it.”
