Last weekend marked my first time watching The Lost Boys, the 1987 vampire cult classic starring Jason Patric, Corey Haim, Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Feldman, Dianne Wiest, and Edward Herrmann, among many others. I will admit that I watched the movie mere hours after seeing The Lost Boys: A New Musical on Broadway, which has swept this year’s Tony Awards nominations. Despite this order of watching that some loyal fans of the film may find backwards or questionable, I found seeing the film’s story come to life onstage deepened my appreciation for Joel Schumacher’s beloved movie. Whether you’re lucky enough to go see the stage production of The Lost Boys, or you’re just in the market for a fun time, give The Lost Boys a watch.
