What we love: Curvy Beach set the standard for string bikinis designed specifically for fuller busts, and years later, I still have not found much better. Founder Elizabeth Taylor created the brand to prove that very full busts can wear true triangle bikinis comfortably, without minimizing or disguising the body. I used to believe my chest always needed maximum lift and compression, so the idea of an unstructured string bikini terrified me. Then I put on my first Curvy Beach suit and immediately understood the hype. I’ve tried countless string bikinis since, but nothing else comes close for larger busts. The details make all the difference, from loops that help distribute breast weight more evenly to adjustable ruching that lets you customize coverage. I also love the flattering ruched back on the bottoms and the adjustable side ties. The quality is excellent too: I bought my first Curvy Beach bikini in 2017, and it is the exact same one I’m wearing here.

What we love: If Elomi’s lift and support sound appealing but you fall outside its size range, check out sister brand Freya, which specializes in fuller cups with more petite band sizing. I’m slightly above the top end of Freya’s size range, but still tried its top-rated Jewel Cove underwire bikini top to evaluate the construction and support firsthand. While my cup quite literally ranneth over, I was genuinely sad it didn’t fit, because this is a beautifully made bra-sized bikini top. The molded cups create a great shape, the sweetheart neckline looks fantastic on a fuller chest, and the bright azure blue is especially gorgeous in person. I’d definitely recommend this style to anyone with a smaller band size and a DDD+ cup who wants bra-like lift and support.
