Audrey Beth Davis Dead: Longtime Entertainment Publicist Was 82

Audrey Beth Davis, a retired longtime entertainment publicist, died of natural causes on May 1 in Pennsylvania. She was 82.

Davis was born on October 17, 1943, in Brooklyn, N.Y. and graduated from Brooklyn’s Midwood High School in 1960. She began her career working for Goodson Todman Productions on their television panel game show “The Match Game” before transitioning to public relations. Davis joined the agency Stone Associates in the late 1970s and was later recruited by company partner Dick Lippin when Lippin started his own venture, Lippin & Grant.

Davis continued to work with Lippin as his company transitioned into The Lippin Group in 1986. Davis established herself as a well-respected publicist throughout her years in the industry, working on a multitude of popular television series, including the iconic sitcom “The Golden Girls,” NBC’s “Empty Nest,” ABC’s romantic comedy-drama series”The Love Boat,” “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” and the high profile CBS miniseries “Scarlett.” She retired in 2008.  

Davis died surrounded by family, friends, and her caregivers. She is survived by her sister Rhonda and husband Jim; her sister Sharon; her niece Rebecca and husband Konrad; her nephew Hank and wife Karen; her great-nieces and great-nephews, including Jake, Sarah, Zoe, & Hannah; as well as her friends and former colleagues.

A memorial service will be held for Davis at noon on May 14 at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, Penn.
