Dhanush Shoots Intense Sequences With Mammootty For D55, To Wrap Up In July: Report
Dhanush is currently busy with the shoot of his much-anticipated project, tentatively titled D55. The actor is expected to continue filming for the spy actioner until the second week of July 2026. A fresh report suggests that he has already completed significant portions of the film alongside Mammootty in Chennai. The collaboration between the two powerhouse performers has generated considerable buzz.
According to Vikatan, Dhanush is expected to continue shooting for D55 until the second week of July 2026. He has reportedly filmed portions of the spy actioner with Mammootty in Chennai. Dhanush is said to be shooting with the Malayalam superstar as part of the ongoing schedule. He is expected to move on to filming a song sequence with Sreeleela in the next schedule. Additionally, Sai Abhyankkar has reportedly completed composing two songs for the film. There is no official confirmation so far.

Welcoming everybody’s favourite @Sai_Pallavi92 on board #D55. The hit combo returns to the big screen.” This will be the second time that Sai Pallavi will be working with Dhanush. She had earlier worked with Dhanush in director Balaji Mohan’s ‘Maari 2’.
Dhanush and Mammootty’s work front
The actor is currently seen in Kara. The film has received mixed response from the audience. It features Mamitha Baiju as the heroine. The film boasts a strong cast as well as a brilliant technical crew. Apart from Dhanush and Mamitha Baiju, the film will also feature director K S Ravikumar, Jayaram, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Karunas and Prithvi Pandiraj in pivotal roles. While Mammootty is seen in Patriot with Mohanlal and Nayanthara. The film is performing well at the box office.
