Grace Jabbari Faces Questions From Jonathan Majors’ Defense Team

Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, took the witness stand on Thursday for the third consecutive day.

After recounting the March incident that led to Majors’ arrest, Jabbari faced questions from the actor’s defense attorney about the injuries she sustained on the night of the alleged assault.

One sticking point for defense attorney Priya Chaudhry was the fact that Jabbari went out to a nightclub immediately after the alleged assault.

“I was feeling pain but I was choosing to ignore it. I was filled with adrenaline,” Jabbari told the Manhattan jury. “The next morning is when [the pain] sunk in. When I woke up, I felt like I had been hit by a bus.”

Why Jabbari Went to a Nightclub

In her earlier testimony, Jabbari described meeting three strangers on the street after her altercation with Majors, who invited her to Loosie’s Nightclub. She went, she said, because “she didn’t want to be alone”.

It was not until the next morning that Majors returned to the couple’s apartment and found an injured Jabbari seemingly passed out.

“I was trying to sleep. I ended up being sick. My head hurts, my ear,” she told officers in a video played for the jury.

After the jury watched footage from the nightclub, Chaudhry asked Jabbari if she had hit her head on the DJ booth. Jabbari responded, “I did not”. When asked if she felt blood on her head, Jabbari responded, “I didn’t touch behind my ear, so I didn’t.”

“I Knew Not to Fight Back”

After the jury saw video surveillance footage from various points of the night, including the street where Jabbari met the strangers, Chaudhry questioned the witness about “fluffing” her hair despite her previously stated injuries.

Chaudhry also questioned Jabbari about the altercation in the car, asking whether Majors was “using a lot of force” and whether it hurt.

“Yes,” Jabbari replied. “I knew to not fight back”.

The Jonathan Majors domestic assault trial is expected to continue through next week. If convicted of the charges against him, Majors faces up to a year in prison.
