Sorry to Bother You, but Pokemon Go and McDonalds are Collaborating in Canada This November

This November, fans of both Pokemon GO and McDonalds are in luck as both companies are taking part in a collaborative event. This month, Pokemon GO players who visit a McDonalds will have the opportunity to interact with temporary Sponsored PokeStops at McDonalds locations in Canada.

These Sponsored PokeStops will provide trainers with sponsored Field Research tasks that will reward them with items such as Stardust and Rare Candy upon completion. On top of this, trainers receiving Gifts from the PokeStops can show off their Postcards to other players on their friend lists.

Niantic has hosted collaborations before, but this is the first time that Pokemon GO and McDonalds Canada have partnered up in this manner. Fortunately for trainers, Niantic has clarified that they do not intend for it to be the last. In fact, it appears that this event will be the first of more of its kind.

We’re excited to partner with McDonald’s™ in Canada for the first time, and we hope you enjoy these perks! Keep an eye out for future announcements and other special promotions with McDonald’s™ in Canada.

You never know what the future will bring; one day, we may see an event where Pikachu is dressed up as Ronald McDonald or is animated so that it starts eating a Big Mac. I mean, it’s unlikely, right, but a dream is a dream. For now, Canadian Pokemon GO trainers can share a meal with their friends, spin some Sponsored PokeStops, and collect unique Postcards.
